Day 1 : Transfer to Kibale.
You will be picked from the airport upon arrival and transferred to Kibale National Park, one of the dense tropical forests’ in the western region of Uganda known as the homes of chimpanzees. The drive may take + 5 hours with en route stop overs to stretch, take photography as you watch over the rolling hills and swampy wetlands along the country side till you find yourself in Fort Portal then Kibale. You will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Crater Safari lodge (luxury lodge) or Primate Safari lodge (Mid-range lodge) or Rweteera Safari Park (budget lodge). Day 2 : Chimpanzee trekking – Kampala
After having your morning cup of African coffee, you will be drive for brief at Kanyanchu visitor’s center, where you will later find access to the forest to trek the chimpanzees. Kibale is home to over 13 primate’s species including Thomas galagoes, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, to mention but a few which are often sites along the route on trekking the chimpanzees. You will be given an hour on finding the chimpanzees to watch their daily life. After trekking, you will head for lunch before driving back to Kampala. End of service !
